The RailView software is a Microsoft ActiveX component which is designed for ActiveX container applications such as Internet Explorer (4.0 and later)
• A plugin for Netscape is NOT available at this time
• The software will not load up in Internet Explorer for Apple platforms

The process is very easy and automatic but you must have your browser configured to accept it.
Here are the steps:
• Go through Internet Explorer's menus and find "Internet Options"
• Select the "Security" tab
• Lower your browser's security to "Low" to enable software download and install
  • If you are using a WindowsNT machine, you may not have authority to lower security (consult the machine administrator)
• Follow the link below to the software download, install and test area
• Be sure to raise the security level on your browser after the software install is complete

There are two portions to the software package that you will download. The first portion contains all the Microsoft support files that are necessary to run the rail program and the second is the rail program itself. These files will come from a Microsoft website and can be approximately 1.4 Meg in size. Unfortunately, the information that the browser makes available to the user when downloading is VERY sparse. Understand that the download can take a significant amount of time and you will NOT get download progress updates. Just hang in there and let the machine download.

At the conclusion of the Microsoft download a message may be presented that tells you to reboot your computer. The reboot is required for Windows to use the files just downloaded. Understand that you will likely have to go back out to the site and complete the actual component download. Good news, the rail component is not large and is the last thing you will need to get!!

The rail component will set itself up and become active immediately upon completion of the download. You will notice that the dark background "Get the software" banner will be replaced with the functioning component. At this point you have it all.

Select Return or Continue to open the download and test page
